“ Happy hour makes me muy feliz Situated on bustling Bridgeway on Sausalito's main drag, Copita's happy hour is lit! The drink specials are great and the empanadas and wings are delicious. The servers went out of their way to accommodate my knee scooter and seat me on the patio in a place where I could elevate my post surgical foot. ”
“ Came here for dinner on a Friday night at 7:00p, no wait, and place was very lively and fun. We ordered 4 fish tacos and 4 carne asada tacos and the beet salad and drinks. The Jamaica agua fresca was really good and the tacos were excellent. The beet salad was also good. Would been perfect with some added citrus. Our inn recommended this place. ”
“ My boyfriend and I both got quesabirria tacos and they were extremely tasty! The service was great and our server was friendly and funny. Ambiance of the restaurant was nice as well. Very calm and welcoming. ”
“ Absolutely love and appreciate a 100% gluten free restaurant. That makes me so happy. The red sauce for the chips and salsa was too smokey. But the green sauce and guac was delicious. I got 2 carne asada tacos and never seen microgreens as a topping. This tells me this isnt an authentic restaurant so I docked off a point. Missed the cilantro and onions. We also got the empanadas and this was tasty. The flan was tasty as well although I was surprised how dense it was, as if they added extra egg whites. I didn't like the Buuelos as much as I thought I would ”
“ Recomended by Patrick from Dylan's Tours, I had a delicious and epically fresh taco lunch. I had ordered an Eve's Revenge, but got a delicious smoked old fashioned, garnished with an apple. The rimming salt was to die for. The hand made tortillas and the steak were amazing. I loved every bite. The next time Im in Sausilito, I'll be back for sure! ”
“ We happened upon this place as we were strolling near the pier in Sausalito and getting hungry for lunch. I enjoyed the slightly upscale vibe of a Mexican restaurant with amazing food. The tortilla soup was some the best I have ever had. We enjoyed a seat on the patio outside and had wonderful service in the spring. ”
“ TLDR: Come here for the vibes and views, not the bites. I stumbled upon this place when spending a day in Sausalito. The cute decor and views overlooking the harbor drew me in. I was immediately seated and my order was taken. I appreciated that they had an array of zero-proof drinks, as I wasn't in the mood to drink this particular day. I decided to go with the "Kickin' Back" for my meal. While it was tasty, it was very ginger beer forward (I had expected it to have more of a fruity, pinapple taste). The portion was also small as it was filled with a large portion of ice. For my appetizer, I went with the "Coconut Campechano" ceviche. I had never had ceviche that was infused with coconut milk and I can safely say that I loved every bite. This was very filling and the seafood was very fresh. I definitely recommend this dish. For my main, I went with the Baja Style Cod tacos. The fish, once again, was fresh and wonderfully battered. The taco itself with the toppings, however, did not wow me and honestly, was a bit dry. I ended up just eating the fish out of the taco and leaving the rest. Overall, it was good for a day out in Sausalito but I wouldn't say the food taste was mind-blowing. ”
“ I knew this place would be good when I saw the fire rotisserie. We tried the 24 hour carnitas and the half rotisserie chicken. It came with freshly made tortillas and we ordered a guacamole. Everything was delicious! Next time I would get a margarita instead of a beer. Make sure you have reservations it was full at 6. The service was a little off but we had a good time and everything tasted great so overall it was excellent. I like the owner Joanne Weir on tv and she has a fun travel and cooking show. I would definitely go back. ”
“ This was my second time at Copita. There are options for vegetarians, pescatarians, and meat eaters. The quesabirria is made with lamb meat, and I thought it was just ok. The consistency of the meat reminded me of canned ground meat, and I would have preferred the meat to be either in chunks or strips. The enchiladas were tasty and so were the carnitas. I would recommend the house margarita and the chips and dip. Service was friendly, thorough, and thoughtful for a party of 14. The bathroom area was clean, and there's almost a full length mirror in the hallway so you can make sure you haven't gotten food all over yourself after the meal. Heads up that there are different taco options that come in pairs of 2, but you can't mix and match (can't order one steak + one chicken taco). The last time I ate here in a large group, a friend and I ordered two different types of tacos and then traded one for the other. Copita takes reservations for larger parties, but the dining area does feel cramped even with a few outdoor seating options. There's a bar area with a few TV's that are usually broadcasting sports games. This restaurant is tucked in between Hamburgers and Golden Gate Jewelry. While there is no parking directly in front of the restaurant, there is a paid parking lot across the street as well as metered street parking further north and further south of the restaurant. Meters are free after 6pm and on Sundays and holidays. ”
